BRIDGEWATER, Va. - On Friday afternoon at the BC Tennis Courts, the Bridgewater Eagles women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches with a 7-2 victory over the visiting Randolph WildCats in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.

Bridgewater got things started in doubles action when the sophomore duo of Katy Bergey and Katie Gordon rolled to an 8-1 victory at number one.

At number two, Olivia Stone and Brittany Wilson battled but fell in a tightly contested match by a 9-7 margin.

The tandem of Ally McConaughy and Emily Schweitzer gave the Eagles the advantage after doubles play with an 8-0 shutout win at number three to hand the Eagles a one-match lead as action shifted towards singles.

Randolph knotted the match up at two wins each as Gordon fell in top flight singles action by a 6-2, 6-4 tally.

Bergey pushed the Eagles back ahead for good with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number two. For the Harrisonburg, Va. product, the win marked her fourth straight and seventh in her last ten matches.

Wilson kept the Eagles rolling with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at number three before Schweitzer sealed the deal with a victory at number four. The senior won the first set by a 7-6 score after earning the 6-2 victory in the tiebreak before claiming a 6-0 win in the second set.

Stone claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win at number five, while it was McConaughy rounding out the match with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 triumph at number six.

Bridgewater is back in action on Saturday afternoon at Emory & Henry. Saturday's matchup with the Wasps is set for 1 p.m.
