In the seventh, the Eagles made a valiant attempt at the plate before eventually falling by a 3-0 score. Berkeley Driskill drew a two-out walk in a pinch hitting appearance prior to Brooke Throckmorton reaching on a fielder's choice and the Green Terror allowing Driskill to move to second on a fielding miscue. A passed ball sent Driskill to third and Throckmorton to second but a strikeout ended the contest as McDaniel earned a 3-0 win in game one.
