BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season Thursday with a 6-3 ODAC victory over Shenandoah.
The Eagles took the top two flights to lead 2-1 after doubles play.
Bridgewater's Maria Hawkins and Marla O'Bryan rolled to an 8-2 victory over Molly Barb and Shannon Allin at No. 1. Shannon Quinn and Ashley Price took the win at No. 2 over Jeannella Williams and Amanda Banocy, 8-5.
The Hornets salvaged a point at No. 3 doubles when Amber Lake and Caitlin Tilton downed Whitney Cash and Haley Lloyd 8-3.
Bridgewater controlled play at the top of the singles ladder to take the win.
Hawkins defeated Barb 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 and O'Bryan won at No. 2 when Allin retired in the second set. O'Bryan was leading 6-1, 3-0 when play was stopped.
Quinn downed Williams 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 while Leanne Smithers claimed the Eagles final point with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Banocy at No. 6.
The Hornets picked up two singles points as Tilton downed Price in three sets to win at No. 4 while Lake defeated Cash 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.
