WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team improved by eight strokes on Tuesday but remained in sixth place overall following the final round at the VSGA State Intercollegiate.
Bridgewater shot 306 for a two-day score of 620, six strokes behind fifth-place Mary Washington.
Overall, six of the top eight teams improved on Tuesday, which did not include champions Christopher Newport (289-290=579).
Junior Luke Hill shot 73 to lead Bridgewater, tying for 10th place overall with a two-day score of 151.
Ocean Armstrong (79-77=156) and Jeremy Pannebaker (80-76=156) each improved on day two and finished tied for 26th.
Eugene Dillon shot matching 80s for the tournament, and Jake Norby fell to 86 on Tuesday after carding Bridgewater's best score (86) in the opening round.
The Eagles conclude their fall season having finished in the upper-half at four of five tournaments.
