FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team concluded round one play at the extremely competitive Royal Lakes Fall Invitational.
The Eagles sit in last place out of 18 teams despite having three of five players shoot in the 70s. Bridgewater's final team score was 317, with Greensboro and host Oglethorpe setting the pace of 282.
Luke Hill had Bridgewater's top score of 77, finishing the back-nine strong.
Starting on the 10th hole, Hill followed a double-bogey on #13 with birdies on the par-3 14th and par-5 18th. He hit the turn at even par after playing that five-hole stretch at 2-under.
Ocean Armstrong and Eugene Dillon each shot 79.
Armstrong also started on #10 was just 2-over through 10 holes. Dillon kicked off his round with a birdie on #10, one of three he carded on the day.
Jake Norby shot 82 to card BC's fourth score. He birdied two out of three holes at one point- the par-3 16th and par-5 18th.
Jeremy Pannebaker (88) rounded out Bridgewater's group.
The Eagles will tee off again tomorrow beginning at 8:01 a.m.
