BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team lost its Tuesday match to ODAC power Washington and Lee 9-0 on Mapp Courts.

The Generals swept the three doubles matches, losing just one game.

Brooke Donnelly and Tessa Hill defeated Stephanie Barton and Whitney Cash 8-0 at No. 1 doubles while Michelle Fleenor and Rachel Hicks won by the same score at No. 2 doubles over Ashley Price and Shannon Quinn. At No. 3 doubles, W&L's M.H. McNeal and Emily Kochard stopped Holly Knupp and Haley Lloyd, 8-1.

Washington and Lee swept the singles matches in straight sets.

Donnelly defeated Barton 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles while Hill downed Price 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2. Fleenor defeated Knupp 6-1, 6-0 to win the No. 3 flight and Melinda Kauffman stopped Cash 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. At No. 5, Kochard downed Quinn 6-0, 6-0 while DeeDee Aeschliman took a 6-0, 6-1 win over Lloyd to win at No. 6 singles.

The Eagles return to the courts next Tuesday to host Roanoke College in ODAC play. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
