BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team lost 8-1 Tuesday afternoon to Roanoke College in ODAC action.

The Maroons controlled doubles play to jump out to a 3-0 lead.

Bridgewater's lone point came at No. 2 singles where Ashley Price defeated Rhaelyn Dinkins. Price won the first set 6-4 before Dinkins retired from the match.

Bridgewater's Haley Lloyd played a strong match at No. 6, losing to Tracy Kile in split sets. Kile won the first set 7-5 before Lloyd evened the match by taking the second set 6-3. A tiebreaker was played to determine the winner with Kile coming out on top 10-5.

Roanoke won the remaining four singles matches, all in straight sets to close out the match.
