HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis opened its spring break trip Sunday with a 9-0 loss to Baldwin-Wallace College.

The Eagles lost both doubles matches that were played, 8-2. Bridgewater's Stephanie Barton and Whitney Cash lost to Kelsey Blatt and Imani Robinson at No. 1 while Ashley Price and Shannon Quinn fell at the No. 2 slot.

Baldwin-Wallace won each of the five singles matches in straight sets.

At No. 1, Blatt held of Barton 6-4, 6-2. Robinson downed Price 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 and Claire Watts defeated Cash 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. At No. 4 Mackenzie Donalson stopped Quinn 6-0, 6-0 and Kelly Peskura defeated Haley Lloyd 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 5 slot.

The Eagles are back in action Wednesday against Arcadia.
