HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team shot 300 on Tuesday to wrap up the Tom Kinder Memorial in fourth place.
"I felt we played well, but we were too inconsistent," said head coach Lee Williams. "We had lots of birdies, but also lots of bogeys."
The Eagles' eight competitors made 22 birdies on Tuesday, 46 in total, and every BC player including individuals birdied at least one hole in their final round.
Playing as an individual, freshman Ronald Uszenski was the Eagles' top finisher in ninth place. He followed up Monday's round with a matching 73 on Tuesday, and was in fourth place heading into the back-nine after playing the front at 3-under.
Luke Hill was tied for 12th place with Uszenski after also carding a 73 in each round.
Ocean Armstrong moved up to 13th place with an even par 72 on Tuesday that featured six birdies. He birdied the first three holes and then the par-5 sixth.
"I was very happy with the performances of Luke Hill and Ocean Armstrong," said Williams. "Both played very well. I was also happy to see freshman Ronnie Uszenski play well in his first college tournament."
Michael Gruver (75 on Tuesday) and Jeremy Pannebaker (81) tied for 25th place overall with a two-day score of 150.
Eugene Dillon shot 80 on Tuesday for a two-day score of 159. Jake Norby (76-79=155) and Mark Corella (77-82=159) also competed as individuals.
Ferrum won the tournament with a two-day score of 576, including the top two individuals- Brandon Bailey (137) and Lance Keiser (141).
