SUFFOLK, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team is in second place after a strong opening round at the Marlin Invitational.
On a cool, breezy day at Suffolk, Va.'s par-72 Sleepy Hole Golf Club, the Eagles shot 302 to trail only host Virginia Wesleyan out of six teams competing.
Luke Hill was +3 at one point before making up two strokes to finish with a 1-over 73, tied for third place overall.
Senior Mark Corella shot 74 to tie for fifth place overall.
Eugene Dillon carded a 76, while Ronald Uszenski and Ocean Armstrong each shot a 79, with every Eagle competitor shooting sub-80 on the day.
Bridgewater will be back in action for the final round tomorrow morning.
