Men's Golf Shoots 316 on Final Day at Camp Lejeune

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - The Eagles shot 316 on the Gold course, as the Bridgewater College men's golf team concluded play at the 46th Annual Marine Corps Intercollegiate.

Four of five Eagles carded a higher score than their first time on the Gold course, but sophomore Michael Gruver improved by three strokes with an 80.

Bridgewater finished in 10th place out of 30 scoring teams.

Over the first two rounds, teams played once each on the par-70 Scarlet short course and the more difficult par-72 Gold course. Bridgewater finished in the top half of the field to advance to Sunday's championship round, but the Eagles were 10 strokes worse than their opening round score.

Ocean Amstrong continued his strong two-week stretch with a 77 to finish as the Eagles' top individual.

Luke Hill shot an 78, Ronald Uszenski carded an 81, and Jeremy Pannebaker shot 84.

Bridgewater will be back in action on April 10-11 at the Glen Heath Memorial- the Eagles' final tuneup before the 2017 ODAC championships.
