BC Men in Seventh After Rearranged Opening Day

NELLYSFORD, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team is in seventh place after an opening day at the ODAC championships that included a rearranged start time and the beginning of Round 2.

After the opening was switched to a shotgun start with rain predicted, the weather held off and the teams started Round 2 to get ahead of tomorrow's forecast.

Bridgewater shot 323 to sit in seventh place out of 11 teams. Second round holes that were played were not officially posted and that round will be completed in the morning.

Luke Hill is tied for 17th place after carding a 77 that included birdies on the par-5 #9 and par-4 #14.

Ocean Armstrong birdied #5 and #8 as part of a 1-over par front nine, but finished with a 78 despite another birdie the 14th.

Ronald Uszenski and Jeremy Pannebaker each shot 84. Uszenski birdied the par-3 12th and made par on eight other holes, while Pannebaker carded two birdies on the day (#9, #14).

Mark Corella carded a 94 that was mostly due to a tough outing on hole #15.

Guilford shot 294 to take an eight-stroke lead, with the Quakers' Josh Hill tied with Randolph-Macon's Matt McDonagh for the individual lead at even-par.
