SALEM, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's track & field team set several conference-leading times, in the opening night of competition at Roanoke's Finn Pincus Invitational.
Defending ODAC Athletes of the Week Alex Galloway (2nd, 22.72) and Davonta Womack (5th, 23.09) gave BC two top-five finishers in the 200 meters.
The Eagles had three of the top-13 in a deep 60 meter field. Womack (6.98) made the finals and placed third; Galloway (7.14) and Dirk Jones (7.15) were 12th and 13th, respectively.
Elijah Waters made the finals of the 60m hurdles, running 8.86 before a finals time of 8.95 that put him eighth overall.
In the final, Joshua Wilt was 19th in 4:50.63.
Prescott Terrell led the field events with a second-place mark in the weight throw (15.14m/49'8.25"). Tyler Russell was 16th (10.90m/35'9.5"). Terrell was also sixth in the shot put with a toss of 13.44m/44'1.5".
Womack was third in the long jump (6.60m/21'8"). In the triple jump, Christopher Moore placed 12th with a leap of 12.37m/40'7".
