BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's and women's track & field teams gear up for the 2026 indoor and outdoor season set to begin on Friday, Jan. 9 at the Burg Open in Lynchburg, Va.  

The Eagles will travel to Landover, Md. To compete in the Robert Comstock Cardinal Classic the following weekend before hosting the Shane Stevens Winter Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 24. Like all previous home events, the Eagles will host at the Rockingham Recreation Center in Penn Laird, Va. This is one of two home meets for the Eagles in the indoor season.  

BC will be on the road for the following three weeks, starting  the Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke College. The two-day meet will run from Friday, Jan. 31 to Saturday, Feb. 1, and will provide a preview of the facility that will be used for the ODAC Championships.  

The Eagles will compete at the Vince Brown Invitational on Sunday, February 8 in Newport News, Va. The meet will be hosted by Christopher Newport. 

Bridgewater closes their regular season slate of competitions hosting the Rockingham Collegiate Track and Field Classic on Friday, Feb. 20. 

The ODAC Championships follow, taking place starting Feb. 28 and ending Mar. 1. The conference meet will be hosted by Roanoke College at the Cregger Center in Salem, Va. 

A two-day South Regional Final Qualifier will be hosted by Shenandoah in Winchester, Va. starting on Mar. 6. 

The indoor slate will be concluded with the NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, March 13 to Saturday, March 14. The national championship meet will take place at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Al and will be hosted by the Southern Athletic Association.  

The outdoor schedule will be released at a later date.
