LEXINGTON, Va.- The Bridgewater College men's track and field team took part in day two of the VMI Winter Relays with events beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The men began the day competing in field and jump events.
Brady Barefoot represented the Eagles in the long jump with a leap of 5.74m (18' 10") for 25th.
In the men's shot put, Chris Wolfgang was 20th with a throw of 12.35m (40' 61/2") and Corey Huffman was 23rd with a mark of 12.21m (40' 1").
Bridgewater had three top-twenty finishes in the men's high jump. Ryan Shepard cracked the top ten clearing 1.85m (6' 03/4"). Brandon Christian was 15th clearing a mark of 1.80m (5' 103/4") and Rashon Davis was 17th at 1.80m (5' 103/4").
On the track, Alex Galloway earned a top-ten finish with the ninth spot in the 400 meters with a time of 49.87. Galloway also competed in the 200 meters with a 12th place finish on a time of 22.49.
In the 800 meters, Kenny Sullivan finished 33rd with a time of 2:06.23. Joey Walsh finished 37th with a time of 2:14.11.
Robert Theimer represented BC in the men's 3000 meters, finishing 21st with a time of 9:15.97.
Davonta Womack, Anthony Lovelace, Ryan Mays, and Galloway competed in the men's 4x4 relay, earning a seventh place finish with an overall time of 3:25.71.
The team will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. next weekend for the UCS Invite on Feb. 17 with events beginning at 11:00 a.m.
