ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount opened the second half with a 9-2 run to take a 15-point lead and the Saints pulled away for an 85-62 victory over Bridgewater College on the second day of the Pablo Coto Tournament.

Bridgewater took its first lead of the game on a Chandler Murray 3-pointer that put the Eagles up 17-16 with 11:38 left in the first half. With the score tied at 19-19, the Saints reeled off nine straight points to take the lead for good, 28-19.

A layup by Kellen Hodge, followed by a three-point play from Liam Caswell sliced the deficit to 28-24, with 4:04 remaining in the opening half. LaDarius McCord knocked down a pair of 3-pointers to push the margin up to 10 points before a jumper by Caswell narrowed the gap to eight, 34-26. Another bucket from Caswell trimmed the Marymount lead to six, but Steve Etienne hit two foul shots with 14 seconds left in the half to give the hosts a 36-28 lead at the break.

The early second-half spurt pushed the Marymount lead into double figures and the Saints continued to pull away for the 85-62 win.

TJ Turner led the Eagles with 17 points while teammates Caswell and Jalil Langston each finished with 10. Etienne led the winners with 15 points. Langston was named to the all-tournament team.

The Eagles, now 0-2 on the season, will look to break into the win column on Wednesday when they host Mary Washington.
