Eagles Turn Back Baldwin-Wallace 6-3

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Bridgewater College swept the doubles points and went on to defeat Baldwin-Wallace 6-3 Friday morning.

Whitney Kiser amd Stephanie Barton put the Eagles on the board with an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles over Ashtyn Morris and Jayde Robinson. Rachel Crawford and Alexia Will took an 8-4 win over Kat Moser and Emma Hubbard at the No. 2 slot. The Eagles won No. 3 by default.

The Eagles took the No. 6 singles slot by default, but the Yellow Jackets stayed alive Morris held off Barton 6-2, 6-4 to win at No. 2 singles.

Crawford scored the clinching point for the Eagles with a split set win at No. 3 singles, defeating Becca Liebler 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5 in the tiebreaker).

The Eagles picked up their final point at No. 4 singles where Emily Daigneault outlasted Moser in split sets 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (11-9 in the tiebreaker).

Robinson edged Kiser 6-3, 7-5 to win at the No. 1 singles slot and Hubbard defeated Will 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
