ARLINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College volleyball team fell 3-0 to non-conference opponent Marymount on Wednesday in Arlington.

The Basics

• Final Score: Bridgewater 0, Marymount 3 (19-25, 21-25, 22-25)
• Records: Bridgewater (11-10, 6-3 ODAC), Marymount (12-9, 4-2 Atlantic East)
• This was the second time this season that the Saints and the Eagles have faced off. Bridgewater swept Marymount 3-0 on September 4 at the Route 42 Classic 

How It Happened 

• Bridgewater held an early lead in set one before a lengthy Saints service run pushed the home team in front to take set one
• The teams played point-for-point in set two and tied it at 20-20 on a Sarah Kerns kill. Marymount won five of the final six plays of the set to win the second frame 25-22 and go up 2-0
• Despite hitting their best percentage of the night in set three (.273), the Eagles could not catch the Saints falling in three close sets

Match Notes

• Jessica Bissmeyer paced the Eagles with 11 kills and nine digs
• Madeline Walker and Ashley Casey had four service aces each for Bridgewater
• Grace Williams led Bridgewater with 12 digs followed by Casey with 10
• Grace Hayes posted 24 assists
