LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College volleyball team concluded the 2021 fall campaign with a loss to the top seeded Washington & Lee Generals in the ODAC semifinals.

• Final Score: Bridgewater 0, Washington & Lee 3 (17,25, 23-25, 14-25)
• Records: Bridgewater (14-13, 7-4 ODAC), Washington & Lee (25-7, 11-0 ODAC)

How It Happened

• The first set began as a back-and forth-affair through 12-12 until the Generals were able to pull away and take the 25-17 first set win
• The Eagles and Generals played point-for-point to the final frames of the second set. A General's service ace gave them the set 25-23 and the 2-0 edge
• Needing to win the third set to stay alive, Bridgewater could not find their rhythm as Washington & Lee took the final set 25-14 for the win

Match Notes

• This marks the Eagles second straight trip to the ODAC semifinals
• Ann-Marie Johnson tied her career-high with 12 kills. Ashley Casey and Jessica Bissmeyer had seven followed by Lauren Nofsinger with five
• Casey posted a double-double with 15 digs along with Bissmeyer who contributed 11
• Madeline Walker had 11 digs while Grace Hayes had 28 assists
