SALEM, Va. - Bridgewater College opened its men's soccer season Sunday and the Eagles played host Roanoke College to a scoreless draw in ODAC play..

Roanoke held a 25-4 edge in total shots and a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Eagles' goalkeeper Tyler Deutsch turned in a strong performance as he recorded 10 saves with four of the saves coming during the two overtime periods. Trevon Phillips had both shots on goal for Bridgewater with both coming in the second half.

The Eagles return to action next Sunday when they host Randolp-Macon in an ODAC contest.
