FERRUM, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's tennis team improved to 7-0 on the season by defeating Ferrum, 9-0, Monday afternoon.
The Eagles lost a total of just two games the entire match.
The Eagles' doubles teams of Whitney Kiser and Malena Hoover at No. 1, Rachel Crawford and Ali Keister at No. 2, and Emily Daigneault and Ryan Roeber at No. 3 each won by a score of 8-0.
Kiser defeated Ferrum's Madison Wright 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Crawford stopped Morgan Hundley by the same score at No. 3 singles. Hoover also won 6-0, 6-0 over Emma Loughrey at the No. 4 slot.
Daigneault was leading her match at No. 2 singles 5-0 in the first set when her opponent retired.
Keister won at No.5 singles 6-0, 6-1 over Sarah Estes and Reober defeated Kat Pendergrass 6-1, 6-0 to take the point at the No. 6 flight.
