SALEM, Va. - The fifth seeded Bridgewater College volleyball team shut down the fourth seeded Roanoke offense, recording a program record 24 total blocks in a reverse sweep 3-2 comeback win to advance to the ODAC Semifinals.

After falling behind early in set one, Bridgewater stormed back from a 23-15 deficit to eventually take a 24-23 edge in what would foreshadow the rest of the match. The Maroons rallied to take the set 26-24, but the Eagles had new life from their slow start.

The Eagles jumped out to 7-3 advantage to start the second set. The Maroons found their way back into the set to tie it at 14-14. The team traded points to the end with Roanoke earning the 27-25 set win.

The fourth set followed suit with a competitive, spirited showing by both teams that mimicked the first three sets to a tee. Tied 22-22, Sarah Kerns put down a kill and teamed up with O'Grady for back-to-back blocks to end the set and push a fifth and final frame.

Leading up to the fifth set, it was either team's match for taking.
