Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. - The Bridgewater College field hockey team scored three goals in four minutes to defeat host Goucher College on Tuesday night in Baltimore.
After a scoreless opening half, Emily Tyler put Bridgewater on the board with a tap-in right in front of the net. The rookie ended the third quarter capitlizing on a penalty corner from Erin Dameron to put the Eagles up 2-0 heading to the fourth.
Just 40 seconds into the fourth quarter, Claire Ashley delivered the exclamation on the evening dribbling past several Gopher defenders with a final spin move to find the back of the cage.
The Eagles held the edge with nine shots compared to the Gophers six. Tyler took four of those shots, with three coming from Ashley and one each from Caroline Quigley and Meghan Bailey. Brooke Hamm made five saves in goal.
Bridgewater, now 2-3 on the year, returns to action on Friday when they travel to Southern Virginia. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
