Box Score ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Bridgewater College men's soccer team was defeated in non-conference action 4-1 by the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen.
The Eagles were the first to get on the board in the 14th minute, when Luke Stubbs scored on a rebound. The ball was shot from the right side of the box where the goalie made the initial save, but the follow up chance was right there in front of Stubbs for an easy tap in. The Dutchmen responded back quickly, and the Eagles never recovered.
Stubbs led the Eagles in shots on goal with two, while Trevon Phillips, Eric Ramirez, and David Franco each had one. Overall Bridgewater was outshot 10-12 (5-8 SOG).
Each team totaled three corner kicks, and Charles Schweinefuss made four saves.
The Eagles will look to rebound quickly as they are back in action tomorrow afternoon, Sunday Sept. 5, when they travel to match up against Elizabethtown at 2:00 p.m.
