LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Bridgewater College volleyball team shutout Randolph, 3-0, in ODAC action on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was even at 5-5 through the first 10 points of the game before earned six of the next seven to take an 11-6 lead. The WildCats tightened the gap, but the Eagles continued to hold a five-point advantage throughout the set on their way to a 25-17 win to go up 1-0 in the match.Â
- Bridgewater dominated the second set of the night, going up 7-3 early on in the game. After a service error from the home side that set the score at 10-5 for BC, the Eagles mounted a 10-2 run to take a 20-7 lead off a kill by Kylie Robinson. The Crimson & Gold won the set 25-11 and go ahead 2-0 in the match.
- Â The final set was much of the same for the Eagles as they led from start to finish. BC went ahead 6-4 through 10 points and maintained at least four points of advantage through the entire set on its way to a 25-16 win to take the match 3-0.
MATCH STATS
- Robinson and Lisa O'Grady led the way in the game with nine kills with O'Grady finishing with an astounding .750 hitting percentage.
- Ashley Casey and Gabby Atwell each finished the game with six kills apiece, while Lauren Nofsinger registered five kills of her own.
- Grace Hayes led the game with 23 assists, while Ashley Rutherford ended the match with nine helpers.Â
- Defensively, Sophia Stites paced the Eagles with 20 digs, while Rutherford collected eight and Robinson tallied seven.
- On the net, Casey and Nofsinger each had two total blocks, while Atwell, Robinson, Rachael Meyers and Sarah Kerns all had one block.
- The Eagles struck at a .361 clip as a team and had just 10 attack errors through the match. Meanwhile, the WildCats finished with a .018 hitting percentage as a team and had 21 errors.

Bridgewater is back in action with a nonconference tri-match featuring Hood and Catholic on Saturday, October 22, as part of Homecoming Weekend at Bridgewater. The day is set to begin at 11 am with the Eagles facing off with Hood and closing the day against Catholic at 3 pm.
