Volleyball Enters ODAC Tournament as the No. 5 Seed

BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Bridgewater College volleyball team is set for the 2022 ODAC Women's Volleyball Tournament as it earned a berth in the postseason as the No. 5 seed.

The Eagles, who finished the regular season at 17-11 behind a 9-3 record in league games, earned the fifth seed out of the eight teams that advance to the ODAC Tournament and will face off with the No. 4 seed, Randolph-Macon, on Wednesday, November 2, at 7 pm, in Ashland, Virginia.

Virginia Wesleyan was all alone at the top of the ODAC standings through the regular season and clinched the top seed and home court advantage for the tournament, while the newest member of the ODAC, Averett, earned the second seed. Washington and Lee enters as the No. 3 seed, while Lynchburg (No. 6), Eastern Mennonite (No. 7) and Roanoke (No. 8) round out the schools advancing to the league's postseason.

The Eagles will face the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday night in a rematch of the contest held in Nininger Hall earlier this season that ended with an R-MC victory. Other quarterfinal match ups feature VWU hosting Roanoke, EMU traveling to Averett and the Generals playing host to Lynchburg. All matches will take place on Nov. 2, with the semifinal matches taking place on Friday, Nov. 4. The ODAC Championship match will take place on Sunday, Nov. 6 and will be hosted by the highest-remaining seeded team.
