DELAWARE, OHIO -- The Bridgewater College field hockey team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of a 4-0 loss at Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The reigning NCAC champion Battling Bishops got on the board early with a goal less than two and a half minutes into the game before adding another tally four minutes later to take a 2-0 lead. The scoreline held until the last minutes of the second quarter when OWU found the back of the net again to go up 3-0.
- The Eagles saw a scoring chance late in the first half with back-to-back penalty corner opportunities that ended with a shot attempt being blocked.Â
- The Battling Bishops added another goal at the 10 minute mark of the fourth quarter, which gave the home side the 4-0 advantage that held to the final whistle.
MATCH FACTS
- Daphne Daymude led the team with three shots and was also the only one to get an attempt on goal. Carynn Klingler, Meredyth Rankin and Kelli Mullen each had shots in the game.
- Daymude recorded a defensive save.
- For the Battling Bishops, Emily Streeter, Alyssa Markell, Allie Crawford and Cate Kuhlman all scored goals with Markell adding an assist and Olivia Danley tallying a pair of helpers.
- Madalyn Miller made 11 saves in 30 minutes in goal, while Harley Hoffman stopped three shots as she played the entire second half.Â
- Ohio Wesleyan outshot Bridgewater 27-6 with a 19-1 advantage in shots on goal. OWU also held an 8-6 edge in penalty corners.
