PINEHURST, N.C. -- The second and final round of the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Hampden-Sydney, has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions around the course at Forest Creek Golf Club.
The Eagles finish 18th in the field consisting of many premier programs in Division III men's golf, including 12 of the top 50 teams. Bridgewater shot a 323 as a team in the opening round on Saturday.
Methodist, the No. 2 team in the country, wins the event after recording a 300 over the first 18 holes. Josh Hebrink of Piedmont earns medalist honors after being the only golfer to go under par with a one-under round of 71.
Brandon Washburn was the top finisher for the Eagles as he carded a six-over 78 to finish T-34th.Â
Bridgewater returns to action this coming weekend for the three-day Jekyll Island Intercollegiate, hosted by Oglethorpe, beginning on Friday, March 17.Â
