FOREST, Va. –
Lestath Savage has been named the ODAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Savage sparked the BC offense with three goals in two games. On Friday, the junior found the back of the net in the 37
th minute to put the Eagles ahead 1-0 and that proved to be all it took as the BC back line did not allow a single shot in the victory.
Sunday afternoon Savage struck twice, getting the scoring started in the 42
nd minute on an unassisted strike and extended the Eagles lead right out of the intermission on the way to a 3-0 win over Saint Vincent.
The men's soccer program opened the season with back-to-back shutouts for the first time in program history and looks to continue the hot start to the season this afternoon as William Peace visit East College Street at 4 p.m.
