BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College women's volleyball fell to No. 17 ranked Washington & Lee at home in four sets Wednesday night. The Eagles fought tough as they would force a fourth set on the Generals making that their first set given up in ODAC play this season.

How It Happened

The undefeated Generals looked hesitant to begin the match, while the Eagles jumped out to a strong start. Both teams knocked down 17 kills in the set; however, WLU found the edge late in the first, taking a 26-24 lead.

Then, BCE would continue to execute on extended rallies, finishing down the middle and attacking the setters. The Eagles played solid offense and closed in on defense effectively to secure a second set win, 25-21.

In the third set, the Generals got back into rhythm and forced the Eagles into tight positions on court. WLU nailed down 17 kills and successfully found space to work with in its offense to drive forward, putting up a 25-19 third set.
