Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's tennis team opened the spring season with a 9-0 loss at No. 26 Washington and Lee.
The Generals opened up by sweeping the doubles action.
Emma Nesselrodt and
Jolexie Whetzel competed well falling 2-8 at the top spot. The newcomer duo of
Raea Crabill and
Emma Staton fell 1-8 at the No. 3 slot.
In singles play Nesselrodt got on the board first before falling 1-6, 1-6 at the top spot.
Ryan Roeber put up a fight at the No. 4 spot as she fell 1-6, 1-6.
Emily Wylie and Whetzel each got on the board before falling 1-6, 0-6 at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.
The Eagles are back in action on Wednesday as they host Mary Baldwin at 3:30 p.m.
