Madalyn Miller of the Bridgewater Field Hockey team has been named the ODAC Defensive Player of the Week after making clutch saves in the Eagles' victory over Roanoke to open conference play.
Miller made seven total saves in the second half and overtime in the double overtime victory, highlighted by three saves in the fourth frame and the first overtime period. The senior's six stops in the final 25 minutes extended the game and led to the eventual Bridgewater victory early in the second overtime period.
The Eagles are back in action as they cionclude a road swing with a trip to Shenandoah on Wednesday before returning home on Friday at 4 p.m. as part of the homecoming festivities.
