BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's cross-country team raced in the 2025 ODAC championship meet Saturday morning. The Eagles finished fifth with 143 points, an improvement from scoring 161 points in the 2024 championship meet.
Senior Gabriel Miller was the first BC runner to finish. He finished 28th, clocking a time of 27:13.5. The Covington, Va. Native improved from his 41st place finish in last year's championship. Freshman Gavin Diehl, the second BC finisher, clocked a time of 27:45.7 in his first championship meet, good for 39th place.
Grayson Jacquez and Malakai Wettig finished two spots apart. Jacquez recorded a 28.08.5, and Wettig finished at the 28:21.2 mark.
Brandon Adamson and Ryder Rose finished just inside the top 60. Adamson ran 28:49.4, and Rose ran 28:59.2. Aiden Dumas finished a little over the 30-minute mark to round out the Bridgewater runners.
No. 18 Washington and Lee placed three finishers in the top five to break Lynchburg's four-year winning streak. No. 23 Lynchburg finished in second place, trailing by six points. Roanoke rounded out the podium with 72 points.
The Eagles will take a short hiatus before competing in the NCAA South Regional Championships in Salem, Va. On Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m.
