LYNCHBURG, Va. - Sarah Slagle and Reagan Witt of the Bridgewater College women's tennis team competed well at the WildCat invitational, hosted by Randolph, on Saturday.

Slagle and Witt opened the day with doubles action. The duo lost to a pair from Randolph 3-6, but bounced back with a 6-1 victory over a pairing from Pfeiffer. 

In singles play, Slagle and Witt both cruised in their opening round. Slagle rolled 6-1, 6-2 over a foe from Shenandoah, while Witt dropped just two games on he way to a 6-1, 6-1 victory against a Pfeiffer foe. 

Slagle had to battle, but came away with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in her second match against a WildCat. Witt grinded her way through her second match as she dropped the opening stanza 1-6. The rookie climbed back with a 6-1 win in set two to force a match tie-break. She prevailed 10-7 to claim the victory.

The Eagles conclude their official fall season and will be back in action in February.
