SALEM, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's cross country team competed at the NCAA South Regional Saturday morning.
The Eagles were led by freshman Olivia Morra, who finished 15th. Morra clocked a 22:27.10 to earn All-South Region honors.
Regan Robinson followed, finishing 70th with a time of 24:56.50. Paige Hiserman and Molly Williamson finished inside the top 100 and ran times of 25:41.70 and 25:42.30, respectively. Annah Wood, the last scoring finisher for the Eagles, ran a 26:14.90.
Bridgewater finished 13 out of 26 teams, finishing ahead of a few ODAC foes. Emory claimed the team title, with Washington and Lee, Rhodes, Catholic, and Lynchburg rounding out the top five.
The Eagles await to see the NCAA championship field, which is to be released no later than 3 p.m. Sunday. Should enough teams from the region make the championship as an at-large bid, Morra can qualify as an individual.
