Men's Tennis Selected Tenth in the ODAC Preseason Poll

FOREST, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's tennis team was picked to finish 10th in the ODAC Preseason Poll released by the conference office on Wednesday morning.

Nationally-ranked Washington & Lee took home the top soot with 11 first place votes and a total of 121 points. Averett (107 pts.) came in second while Virginia Wesleyan (98 pts.) rounded out the podium places with the only other first place vote.

Shenandoah (95 pts.) and Hampden-Sydney (72 pts.) rounded out the top five, as Randolph, Lynchburg and Guilford rounded out the projected tournament field.

The Eagles return experience in their first season under head coach Tyler Carnahan. Seniors Mark Gordon and Matthew Leonard return as three-year starters for the program, while sophomore Corey Beshoar looks to continue off of a successful campaign a year ago in the middle of the ladder.

Bridgewater men's tennis opens the season on Feb. 27 as Maryville visits the valley.
