FOREST, Va. - Sarah Slagle of the Bridgewater College women's tennis team has been named the ODAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after her performance at the top spot for the Eagles during their spring break trip.

Slagle posted a 2-1 record in both singles and doubles action during the Eagles' three matches at PTR Spring fest in Hilton Head, S.C.. The freshman from Charlestown, W. Va. opened the week by overcoming an 0-6, 0-2 deficit against Dubuque to force a match tie break before falling 0-6, 6-4, 5-10. Slagle added comfortable singles wins against St. Vincent and Buena Vista later in the week and combined with Jolexie Whetzel for doubles victories over the same two institutions.

BC is back in action tomorrow as the Eagles take on No. 40 Averett at 2 p.m.
