FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced Tuesday Abby Mikolay as ODAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week after a strong showing at the highly competitive High Point VertKlasse Meet.  

Mikolay competed in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw over two days last weekend with her best finish in the discus for a ninth-place finish among 40 competitors. Mikolay threw a personal best in the discus with a mark of 43.85m. That mark leads the ODAC, leads the south region, and is 11th best in the nation currently.  

Mikolay also improved her second-best mark all-time in program history. 

The Eagles return on Saturday, April 12 at the EMU Invite.
