Ten Bridgewater Athletes Receive CSC Academic All-District At-Large

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization announced Tuesday afternoon 10 Bridgewater College student-athletes to At-Large CSC Academic All-District.  

10 athletes from four different sports received At-Large honors for all-district with hard work in the classroom and in their respective athletic season. To earn CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must receive a GPA of 3.5 or higher with eligibility granted to a sophomore or higher. The student-athlete must also participate in 90% of the action during the season.  

Kylie Amberger received recognition for all-district for an incredible season in field hockey. Amberger tallied three goals, three assists, and nine points while appearing in 18 games. Two additional field hockey athletes secured all-district awards. Bekah Mercer and Lexi Francis both appeared in 18 games with a combined total of nine goals, four assists, and 22 points.  

In women's golf, Sophia Martone was awarded academic all-district. Martone landed low scores all season long including three individual titles, contributing greatly to the team's success.  

Both lacrosse programs received award winners for all-district as six student-athletes garnered the honor. In men's lacrosse, four players received recognition. Jackson Wicker shined in the classroom and on the field, appearing in 17 games and posting 18 ground balls in the season. Colin Chizmar also nailed academic all-district honors while starting in 17 matchups.  Ryan Addison impacted greatly on the field for the team starting in all 17 games and totaling an impressive 29 caused turnovers in the season. To round out the men's awards, Ryan Linn performed at a high level academically and athletically, starting in all 17 games while tallying 13 goals and 10 assists.  

In women's lacrosse, Caris Cianelli and Kena Gresham excelled in the classroom and on the field. Cianelli competed in 18 games while posting eight goals on the season. Gresham also shined to round out the academic all-district awards; appearing in all 19 games and recording 17 assists.
