FOREST, Va. - Freshman goalie
Erinn Lockard of the Bridgewater College women's soccer team was announced the ODAC defensive player of the week after her performances in two shutout wins last week.
In her collegiate debut, Lockard faced No. 16 Carnegie Mellon on Friday. She played all 90 minutes between the pipes for the Eagles. The Vienna, Va. native faced 23 shots and recorded five saves in the 1-0 victory against the nationally ranked Tartans.
She retained the starting job in the Saturday matchup against Marietta. Lockard played 80 minutes, faced five shots, and recorded a save in a 2-0 win against the hosting Pioneers.
Bridgewater will make their home season debut on Wednesday, Sept. 3 against Catholic at 4 p.m. The match will be broadcasted on FloCollege.
