BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater Athletics has announced the following schedule changes due to the impending impact of Winter Storm Fern. 

Both Bridgewater College basketball teams will now play on Friday after being originally scheduled to play Saturday afternoon The women's squad hosts Virginia Wesleyan at 6 p.m. in Nininger Hall while the men's team travels to No. 22 Roanoke for a 6 p.m. tip in the Cregger Center.

Men's volleyball travels to the defending national champions, Southern Virginia, for a tri-match this weekend. Those contests have been shifted to Friday as well with the Eagles taking on Lancaster Bible at 5 p.m. and SVU at 7 p.m.

Bridgewater swimming is hosting senior day this weekend. BC's meet with Hampden-Sydney and Sweet Briar will remain on Saturday, but will now start at 10 a.m. It is also senior day for both swimming programs.

The BC track and field programs are hosting the Shane Stevens Invitational on Saturday at the Rockingham County Recreation Center in Penn Laird. The event will now start at 9:15 a.m. with a condensed schedule.
