BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College Head Softball Coach
Megan Pleskovic announced the team's 2026 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
The Eagles open the 2026 season with a weekend full of softball in the valley. Mt. Aloysius, Wilmington and McDaniel all visit the nest Feb. 20-22 in the Bridgewater Invitational, with the Eagles taking on Mt. Aloysius twice on Friday and battling Wilmington and McDaniel on Sunday.
Following a busy weekend, the Eagles take a week off before heading west. BC travels to Southern California over spring break with matchups against Chapman, Chicago, Redlands and Whittier March 1-4. Bridgewater returns to the East Coast and travels to Methodist on March 8 to round out the busy week.
The Eagles take nearly a week off before opening ODAC play at Sweet Briar on March 14. The next afternoon, BC opens a stretch of 12 of its next 14 games at home, highlighted by twin bills against Gettysburg (March 22), Virginia Wesleyan (March 29) and Christopher Newport (April 1). Pleskovic's crew wraps up the homestand with a pair of contests against Randolph on April 11.Â
BC spends eight of the final 10 contests on the road with the home finale on April 18 against Roanoke. Bridgewater finishes the regular season schedule on April 22nd in Fredericksburg against Mary Washington.Â
The Eagles enter 2026 off a historic 2025 campaign. Pleskovic was named the ODACÂ Coach of the Year as BC finished second in the ODAC regular season standings, just narrowly missing an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
