Riley Corcoran and
Jaiden Polston of the Bridgewater College women's basketball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
The pair of Eagles adds an Academic All-District Accolade to a long ledger of accolades from the 2025-26 season.
Corcoran's senior campaign was historic to say the least. On the hardwood, the senior set the program record for free throws made in a single season on top of breaking into the career top 10 lists in multiple categories in BC history. The Chapel Hill, N.C. naive was also named a finalist for the prestigious Jostens Trophy awarded to the top basketball student-athlete in Division III. She was named First Team All-ODAC and First Team D3hoops.com All-Region. Corcoran earned the academic qualification by maintaining a 4.0 Cumulative GPA and is eligible for Academic All-American Status.
Polston had a breakout junior campaign. The Stephens City, Va. product started all 27 games for the Eagles and led the team in field goal percentage at a 55.7% clip while averaging 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Polston earned the academic qualification by maintaining a 3.95 GPA.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher as a sophomore or better and participate in 90% of the team's contests or start 67% of them.
