AMHERST, Va. - After the ODAC Championship concluded at the Poplar Grove Golf Course, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced the All-Conference selections from the 2025-26 season as Brandon Washburn placed on All-ODAC First Team and Walker Gillespie was placed on All-ODAC Second Team. 

Both golfers broke records this season along with multiple top marks in tournament play.  

Brandon Washburn averaged a 72.9 season score which broke the program record for lowest individual season average score. On top of that, Washburn competed in 16 rounds across eight events and placed top five in six tournaments. The Powhatan, Va., native also carded a career best of three-under-par in the three-day tournament at Camp Lejeune Invitational.  

Walker Gillespie saw strong performances in his sophomore campaign. The Pearisburg, Va., native began the year off with a bang, logging a program-best score of 137. Gillespie secured the Tom Kinder Williams Invitational title for the first Bridgewater winner since 2013. Additionally, Gillespie received two top 10 marks this season at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational and Spring Thaw for a season-best score of two-under par.  

"Having Brandon and Walker get All-ODAC honors was well deserved and a great way for Brandon to cap off his career," said golf head coach Nick Schlickenrieder.

Brandon and Walker are the first All-ODAC selections since 2021.
