FOREST, Va. - The Bridgewater College softball team has earned the sixth seed in the ODAC Tournament, landing in Pod 2 at this weekend's opening round.

The Eagles earn the No. 6 spot after finishing with an 11-9 mark in league play. BC joins No. 2 Shenandoah, No. 3 Randolph-Macon and No. 7 Averett in Pod 2, and will clash with the Yellow Jackets in their first game in the Star City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1. All of BC's games will take place on Field 3 at the complex.

Bridgewater will clash with RMC for the third time in 10 days after splitting with the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday in Ashland. BC dropped a pair of tight games to Shenandoah in Winchester a few weeks ago and swept Averett in a pair of contests early in the campaign. 

Pod 1 features unanimous No.1 in Div. III Virginia Wesleyan, No. 4 Lynchburg, No. 5 Roanoke and No. 8 Guilford. 

All opening weekend contests will take place at Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Va., in a traditional double-elimination format over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
