BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's soccer team exploded offensively in the opening half against Wilson Wednesday afternoon before the game was canceled at 6-1.

How it Happened
- The Eagles wasted little time getting on the board as Braxton Sebastian opened the scoring in the third minute off a well-placed ball from Kevin Polanco. Riley Queen moved the Eagles up the scoreboard just over two minutes later, finding the lower-left corner of the woodwork to make it 2-0. Wilson answered to cut the lead to 2-1, but Bridgewater had a quick rebuttal as Anthony Medrano notched his first collegiate goal in the 13th minute off quick assists from Joshua Parker and Queen, restoring the Eagles' two-goal advantage at 3-1.
- The Eagles remained in control as Queen took over, converting a penalty kick in the 17th minute before completing his hat trick no more than two minutes later off a beautiful ball from Parker to extend the lead to 5-1. Bridgewater continued to control the action without slowing down throughout the remainder of the half before David Galeano joined the box score in the 41st minute, finding the upper portion of the net in a scramble before the game was canceled.
What's Next?
This game against Wilson College has been canceled and has no plans to be made up. The Eagles will hit the road for the first time this season on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. against Lycoming.
