FOREST, Va. – Erinn Lockard of the Bridgewater women's soccer team has taken home the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor, announced Tuesday afternoon.

Lockard, a sophomore goalkeeper out of Vienna, Va. has earned the ODAC's weekly honor for her efforts in between the posts against No. 12 Mary Washington Saturday night.

After a full 90 minutes on field, Lockard recorded eight saves while facing 17 total shots from UMW to earn a clean sheet for the night. The shutout gives Bridgewater a 6-6 record against Mary Washington all-time. As well as pushes them to a 2-0 record going into week two of the season.

The Eagles' women's soccer team is back on the road to face the Cardinals of Catholic on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
