BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The 2018 Bridgewater College men's track and field team finished with a total of 198 points Saturday to claim the title at the 2018 ODAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The Eagles entered day two of the championships in the top spot, leading all teams with a score of 97 points after Friday's performances.
Davonta Womack earned second in the men's 100 meter dash with a time of 10.73.
Alex Galloway ran for the third overall spot in the 200 meters with a time of 22.06. Galloway also had the third spot in the 400 meter with a time of 48.99.
Johnny Haizel-Cobbina finished third overall in the 800 meters at 1:57.38. Shane Gibson was sixth in the event at 1:59.66.
Max Weidman ran the men's 1500 meters with a time of 4:04.23 for third overall.
Jamie Hiegel took the second place spot in the 5000 meter with a time of 15:27.85.
In the men's 110 meter hurdles, Chase Rosenthal finished second at 15.17 and Elijah Waters was sixth with a time of 15.80.
Christopher Moore represented the Eagles in the 400 meter hurdles, finishing fifth at 57.69.
BC finished second to Virginia Wesleyan in the 4 x 100meter relay with a time of 42.48 on a squad of Richard Wojno, Galloway, Rosenthal, and Womack.
The Eagles were fifth in the 4 x400 meter relay with a team of Anthony Lovelace, Rosenthal, Galloway, and Womack with a time of 3:28.94.
Brandon Christian finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.86 meters (45' 5¾"). Rosenthal came in with a mark of 13.52 meters (44' 4¼") at sixth overall.
Chris Wolfgang was fourth in the men's discus with a mark of 41.18 meters (135' 1").
Corey Huffman helped the Eagles in the men's javelin with a mark of 50.43 (165' 5") for second place. Wojno finished fourth in the event at 46.42 meters (152' 3").
The men finished with a total of 198 points. Washington and Lee was second(184), followed by Lynchburg(142) in the third spot.
The Eagles will travel to Lyncburg, Va. on May 2 for the Liberty Twilight Qualifier.
