LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College IHSA Equestrian team placed second Sunday at the IHSA event Sunday co-hosted by Washington and Lee and Hollins at the Virginia Horse Center.
Kelsey Quinn started the day with a win in the Open Flat riding Apollo and a second-place effort in Open Fences on Pitch Perfect. Quinn tied for High-Point Rider of the day.
In the Intermediate Flat division, Alison Segura was third with Billie. Connor Poe was fourth on Eloquence in the Intermediate Fences divison.
Starting the Limit Flat was Lauren Boisvert, placing second while riding Lorenzo. Segura was third on Maury in the Limit Fences division.
Britney Linick rode Billie to a second-place spot in the Novice Equitation division.
Winning the Introductory for the second time was Walter Robb on Maury.
Bridgewater was second on the day behind Hollins University. Hollins scored 38 points to edge the BC riders by a single point. Washington and Lee tied for third with Virginia Tech, both with 31 points. Ferrum was fifth with 17 points.
