SALEM, Va. -- The Bridgewater College men's basketball team was selected seventh in the 2022 ODAC Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released by the league office on Thursday morning.

The Eagles, who finished last season 10-16 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament, collected 71 total points to be slotted in seventh in the 13-team poll. 

Randolph-Macon, the reigning-national champions, garnered 10 of the 13 possible first-place votes and 142 total points to lead the survey of head coaches. Roanoke earned the remaining top tallies and registered 127 points for second, while Guilford picked up 115 points for third.

Virginia Wesleyan (107 points), Hampden-Syndey (103), Washington and Lee (102), Lynchburg (66), Averett (59) and Randolph (44) rounded out the top 10 spots.

The Eagles start off the 2022-23 campaign with an exhibition at Division I opponent High Point on November 5 before traveling to Marymount on November 8. BC starts off the home schedule with the Carlyle Whitelow Invitational on Nov. 11-12 with a pair of games.
